A Lullaby

Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby. ~Langston Hughes

The rain simply magnified the beauty of Positano.  It didn't stop us.  It simply "forced" us under brightly colored umbrellas and inside to eat more pasta and drink more wine.   And then we got our revenge, we napped.

  1. I fell in love with Hughes' words in Catholic school during the second grade - back when poetry was studied, memorized, and a part of the Friday afternoon air. Magic. Magic words. Magical images.
